First read Nietzsche in about 1981. The geneology,The birth of tragedy,and I think Ecce homo. I found it all bizarre,if not slightly pedantic. Then ,came Zarathustra, about two years later. I can almost remember the exact moment,(leaving the dark room and plotter for the geophysical co. I was working for), while reading it at work. It was the most liberating feeling that I ever experienced. I have never felt it with such lucid alacrity ,again. I remember reading somewhere, once, that this is typical for adolescent boys, that read Zarathustra for the first time. All things must pass. Share what Nietzsche has meant to you...
